VICTORIA HOSPITAL PROJECT

For most St. Lucians, it should not come as a surprise to know that one of the biggest problems with Victoria Hospital is that there is often a shortage of the basic supplies which are required to treat patients. Our organization has recognized that there is a need to make a contribution to the hospital by shipping some of these much needed supplies to the hospital. We are asking anyone who is capable of doing so to please make a contribution of any of the following supplies. Any contribution will be highly appreciated and should go a long way in assisting with the health care which is provided on the island.

 Band Aids, Bandages, Cotton Balls, Gauges, Surgical Scissors, Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Dressing Sponges, Alcohol Pads, Tylenol, Aspirins, Advil, Motrin, Rubber Gloves,

ADOPT A SCHOOL PROGRAM

It is a known fact that many parents of students in St. Lucia are unable to provide their children with items which are necessary for their children to succeed in school. Though we know that we cannot realistically change this entirely, we have recognized that by providing some assistance would be a great help for many parents and students. In 2003 our club decided to ADOPT A SCHOOL. We have taken time to do an extensive survey of the schools in St. Lucia before ultimately deciding on which school we would Adopt. This survey was done without any bias as to the geographical location in St. Lucia from which our members hailed. Results of our survey has showed that the Bouton Combined School in Soufriere is one of the schools in St. Lucia which is most needy and therefore this school will be our first choice. Following dialogue with the Ministry of Education in St. Lucia, a team was sent down to the Bouton Combined School for an intensive look at the needs of the school. Please click Here.

Again, persons wishing to contribute to this cause can contact any member of the club. Remember no donation is too small. The goal is to have whatever contributions out to the school prior to the beginning of the school term which begins in September, therefore, we will have to ship items no later than mid July.
