Winter Practice Sessions

Winter practice continues every Tuesday evening from 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm in conjunction with the Flatbush Beacon, located at 655 Parkside Ave, between Nostrand and Rogers. Players wishing to attend these practice sessions must fill out an application form and return it a minimum of one week before they are able to attend practice. Members needing form can click here.

 

Monthly Friendly Scrimmage

On the third Tuesday of each month, Pitons will host another club for a friendly scrimmage. The next scrimmage will be on March 15th with the guest club being Typhoon. It is important that everyone makes every effort to be early as time at the gym is limited.

Rules

RULE 1.2 GOALPOSTS

Rule1.2.1 A Goalpost which shall be vertical and 10 feet (3.05 m) high shall be placed at the mid-point of each Goal Line. A metal ring with an internal diameter of 15 inches (380 mm) shall project horizontally 6 inches (150 mm) from the top of the post and the near side of the ring. The ring shall be of steel 5/8 inches (15 mm) in diameter, fitted with a net, which shall be preferably white, clearly visible and open at both ends. Both ring and net are part of the Goalpost. Padding used on the Goalpost shall be preferably white and not be more than 2 inches (50 mm) thick and shall start at the base of the Goalpost and extend the full length of the post.

Rule 1.2.2 The Goalpost which shall be 2.5 inches - 4 inches (65 mm - 100 mm) in diameter should preferably be inserted into the ground or sleeved beneath the floor. The Goalpost shall be placed so that the back of the Goalpost is at the outside of the Goal Line.

RULE 1.3 BALL

The ball shall be a Netball, and shall measure between 27 inches -  28 inches (690 mm - 710 mm) in circumference and weigh between 14 ounces - 16 ounces (400 grams - 450 grams). The ball may be of leather, rubber or similar material.
