ANNOUNCEMENT 

Dear Colleagues,     

FOURTH “Helen of the West” Netball Festival

October 21 – 28, 2006,   ST. LUCIA

The St. Lucia National Netball Association announces the fourth international invitational netball club festival in St. Lucia.  This year’s “Helen of the West” Netball club festival will be staged from Saturday, October 21 – Saturday, October 28.  The event is being held in collaboration with the St. Lucia Tourist Board. 

An invitation is being issued through you to all leading clubs in your country.  We anticipate that this festival will attract a cadre of excellent netballers. 

All participating clubs will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation and meals expenses.  The host country will provide in-country transportation as well as on-court refreshments.  

The festival will reward the winning team with a prize of US$3000.00. The second place in the competition will receive an award of US$2000.00 and clubs placing third and fourth in the competition will receive prizes of US$1000.00 andUS$500.00 respectively.  

All clubs who are interested in participating in this festival are asked to communicate interest to the St. Lucia National Netball Association via the following e-mails slnna1954@yahoo.com, caron40plus@yahoo.com, liotac@hotmail.com  no later than August 15, 2006.  

Recommendations re; accommodations in St Lucia will be provided in subsequent correspondence. 

Entries will be on a first come first serve basis, as there is a limit to the number of clubs that can be accommodated for a two-zonal round robin competition structure.   All clubs will be required to confirm their participation by August 15, 2006 along with US$100.00 participation fee. 

The St. Lucia National Netball Association looks forwards to your participation in this fourth “Helen of the West” Netball festival, which will further expose the talents of our respective netballers and strengthen the partnerships within the international netball family. 

St. Lucia looks forward to hosting this festival of top class netball.
